I feel that handwritten journaling is important. It adds something of yourself to the layout. The problem with handwritten journaling is the possibility for spelling errors or other mistakes. Using erasable gel pens is an option that allows you to easily correct any errors on your layouts.
Pilot Frixion gel pens are affordable option that makes it easy to journal on your layout.
Pros
– erasable, which makes journaling easy
-can be used to color in stamped image
Cons
-does not work well on glossy surfaces
I use my Pilot Frixion pens often. I have found though, that they do not work well on all surfaces. You should test the pens on any type of glossy or matte finish surface prior to using them. They will completely wipe off of some glossy surfaces, such as stickers. Other surfaces, such as glossy chipboard, they will smudge or not erase properly.
They do work just fine for coloring in stamped images. They don’t blend, so expect there to be pen strokes. These pen strokes may be more visible on larger images. My son has used them for drawing and loves that he can add color while erasing any mistakes.
Overall, the pens are well worth their cost.
