Do you hoard pocket page and project life cards? I do! I have boxes and boxes of them. I am also guilty of getting digital pocket page kits with the intent to print. This past year, I have made it a goal to use more of those cards and to limit how many new ones come into my creative space. Using them meant that I needed to step away from the idea that they were just for pocket pages. There are also times in which I struggle to come up with the perfect title. If you are experiencing the same problems, there is a simple answer to both issues. Pocket Page or Project Life cards can easily be used to create amazing titles for your scrapbook layout.
Here are 4 examples of scrapbook layouts that use Pocket Life Cards as Titles:
Tips for Using Pocket Life Cards as Titles:
It’s easiest to use the 3 x 4 inch pocket cards as titles. You can use the 4 x 6 inch cards but may find the larger size harder to work into your design. If design is an issue for you, look for inspiration from sketches. Can you substitute a 3 x 4 pocket card in place of an embellishments cluster or a photo? You can slip a 3 x 4 inch card into an embellishments cluster. Try reducing the size of some of the embellishments to accommodate the card. Consider using flat items in the cluster such as die cuts or stickers. The best example of this is the Focus Click Repeat Layout shown above. Use a thin sheet of chipboard or dimensional adhesive to lift the card slightly off the layout. This will make it look more interesting and make it easy to slip embellishments underneath.

These are the kits that I used during my time as a member of the Traci Reed Designs Creative Team.
