color formula 24

What is color love? For some, it might be a favorite color or set of colors they want to craft with. For others, color love is brief and fleeting, lasting only as long as you have that color in your kit. Sometimes t’s finding that one piece of patterned paper with just the right combination of hue, pattern and texture. You see it and you know you must create with it. Color can be used as a starting point for scrapbook pages and craft projects. Many scrapbookers sometimes find themselves getting hung up on color choices. Should they match the photo or go with the product they love? There is not necessarily a wrong answer. Many of us fall in between those that steadily use a tried and true palette and those that experiment with our latest color attraction.

Whatever the case may be, I thought that it might be a great opportunity to share a color palette with you along with some color related quotes. These quotes are all art related. however, what they suggest holds true even with scrapbooking.

How do you use color? Is it purely for the sake of using a color you want to work with? Or do you use it to add symbolic meaning and emotion to your projects? For me, it’s a bit of both and sometimes, my color choices are guided by my mood. How about you? How do you define your color love?
