How to Make Dimensional Watercolor Sunflowers

Summer is finally here and I am looking forward to a little more craft and creative time! My son’s school obligations are a bit less and with the heat of the summer sun, it seems best to stay indoors. Do you have some time to be crafty? If so, then I have some inspiration for you. I am once again part of a fabulous craft collaboration. Essentially, it’s a blog hop but done via video on YouTube instead of on a blog. I will have the links to all of the videos below. Meanwhile, I would love for you to check out my contribution.

About the Watercolor Sunflowers

I have become obsessed with watercolors and I wanted to create a summer sunflower that can be used as either a scrapbook embellishment or in home decor projects. Yes, the sample flower is big! I made it large on purpose so that you could easily see how it is made. If you want a smaller watercolor sunflower, simply start with a smaller size circle for the flower center. If you want a gigantic flower, use some white poster board. All you need to do is to adjust the petals accordingly to be the right size for the flower center. The flowers are perfect for use on a summer banner or summer wreath. Ready to see how they are made?
