Happy Halloween! Creating a zombie art doll is something I have been wanting to do for awhile. Joining in an artist collaboration with a Halloween theme, was the perfect excuse for me to make one. My goal was to create something quirky and fun. I wasn’t worried about perfect seams or stitching. Anything wonky would just add to the character of the doll.

It took me just a few hours to make my zombie art doll. Waiting for the fabric paint to dry was the most time consuming part of the project. Using brighter colors meant that my zombie looked a little more fun rather than scary. He was very easy to make and given that there is little concern for straight seams, this would make an easy project to introduce a child to sewing.

Be sure to check out the other projects in this collaboration for more Halloween inspiration!
