I see the world not just through my eyes, but also through the lens. I have always liked taking photos. I began to love taking photos when my son was born. My husband bought us our first digital camera about a month after K was born. We didn’t want to miss anything when it came to our son. He is our world. The camera was meant to be my husband’s new hobby. However, given that I often was the one most available for outings and field trips, the camera often found it’s place into my handbag. Over a short span of time, it became mine.

Those early photos weren’t always well composed. Sometimes the lighting was way off. It didn’t matter. Each one captured a small moment in time. Moments that, when strung together in my scrapbooks, told our story as a family. Over the years, I took photography classes. The photos I take are better than when I started. Sometimes they aren’t perfect, but they get better with every shot. It’s practice that makes perfect. It’s playing with the camera or experimenting with post processing that makes things a bit more interesting for me. Photo play can mean a lot of things…from the way you take a photo to how you document it on your scrapbook layout.  I am honored to announce that I will be sharing my take on Photo Play with Masterful Scrapbook Design. I hope you will join in on the fun!
