If you are like me, then you are scrapbooking on a budget. You want to find a way to stretch your supplies farther and get the most for your money.I use everything I can from my supplies. I even use the packaging when I can. I am going to show you how you can use one sheet of journaling stickers to create two layouts.
Supplies
1 sheet of journaling stickers
Patterned paper
Craft knife
Embellishments
2 sheets of cardstock
photos- enough for 2 layouts
Step One I chose to use a sheet of Jillibean Soup journal stickers. You can use any shape or brand that you prefer. However, I find that using sets that all have the same basic shape, such as circles or hexagons, are easiest. Use a Pencil and trace around the edges of the sticker sheet.
Step Two Remove the stickers and place them any way you desire.
Step Three Set aside the used sticker sheet, then use a craft knife to remove sections of the paper in between the stickers. Don’t cut all of the paper away. Leave sections so that the stickers in the center remain connected.
Step Four Add a sheet of patterned paper to the back of your cardstock. Try to find a paper that adds contrast. I found this really makes the stickers pop.
Step Five Stitch around the edges of stickers, following your pencil line.
Step Six It’s now simply a matter of adding your photos and embellishing your layout as desired.

Step Seven Grab your used sticker sheet and cut away any parts of the package you don’t want to use. Then carefully peel it away from the backing and stick it onto your 2nd sheet of cardstock.
Step Eight Cut away the middle sections where the stickers once were. I like to save these shapes for another layout. After you cut everything away, adhere a sheet of patterned paper to the back.
Step Nine Once again, it’s simply a matter of creating a layout with your desired supplies.
Both of the finished layouts look quite different from each other. Cutting away sections of the cardstock is a great way to add dimensions to your layouts. This technique is a simple way to add dimension to your layouts, save money, and get the most from your supplies.
