Once upon a time, my family owned a small chain of donut shops. I have fond memories of hanging out in the back room with my grandfather. I have been thinking about it a lot recently, especially since a friend of mine got herself a donut baking pan. We have been discussing recipes. I don’t have any of the family doughnut recipes. If I did, I am not sure it would do me much good. They were, after all, designed to make dozens at a time to sell in several shops. Really, I wouldn’t need to make more than a dozen donuts.
On Valentine’s day, my son and I attempted to make a small batch. I have been searching around, looking for the right items to make a scrapbook layout about it. I came across some wonderful donut vector images that just might fit the bill. I was inspired to create a color palette with them. Though I must admit that our donuts were not nearly as beautiful as these.
I am still debating about what I want to use to create the layout. I may just use this wonderful palette for my inspiration.
