It’s time for another Movie Challenge Monday blog hop. Movie Challenge Monday is a fan inspired challenge and this month’s movie inspiration is Wonder Woman. I am really excited about the new Wonder Woman movie coming out soon. I was a little girl in Wonder Woman Underoos the last time that I remember her being featured so prominently in comics and cartoons. Wonder Woman merchandise is becoming more prominent in stores too. I recently picked up a cute little notebook from Typo. However, I wanted something a little bigger but not overly large. I decided to decorate my own paper pad. It’s simple to do and makes a great quick craft for kids.
The supplies are pretty basic. I chose the notebook size first, some scrap ribbon, and cardstock in red, blue and yellow. I also chose some yellow glitter washi tape, but ribbon will work as well if you don’t have any.
Step One: Cut the cardstock down to fit the cover and adhere it.
Step Two: Add a washi tape or ribbon trim.
Step Three: Thread a strip of ribbon through the wire and tie it in a knot. Repeat until the wire is full. For added interest, use a variety of ribbon. I like the ribbon I chose, however, I think some yellow and red would have looked nice too.
Step Four: Trace a circle from yellow cardstock. Trace or draw a star. Adhere them to the notepad. I used a template. You can also use a glass or bottle to create your circle. For the star, I used a stencil. For a more finished look, ink the edges of the cardstock prior to adhering it.
I am still on the lookout for more Wonder Woman themed stationary. Meanwhile, this handmade paper pad will do the trick. There are still plenty more Wonder Woman inspired fan projects to see. Be sure to hop around through the links below.
what fun! As a lefty, I have a fondness for a stenographer’s notebook. Yours looks great 🙂
Thank you, Lydia! I never really thought about a lefty needing a different notebook.
