This isn’t the first time I have gone back to a scrapbook sketch and it won’t be the last. Scrapbook sketch replication doesn’t mean that both pages will look exactly the same. In most cases, the viewer won’t even notice the similarities unless the scrapbook pages are laid next to each other. The choices in scrapbook supplies will garauntee that the page has a different feel. If the viewer does notice a similarity between your pages, they are more likely to chalk it up to your personal design style. So if you really love that sketch, use it over and over again. Doing so has an added benefit. Being familiar with the page design makes it easier to complete pages faster.
Over the past month, I have been incredibly busy with my son’s homeschooling. Knowing that I was short on time, I glanced back through the library of MSE Lab Exercises. These designs are familiar to me and I was quickly able to identify one that would work for my photos. Lab Exercise 15 is one of those sketches that can be made in less than 30 minutes. It was perfect for a quick scrapbook layout.
