Today, JBS mercantile is starting the weekend with an on-line crop. There will be live chats and challenges complete with the opportunity of winning some fabulous prizes. Whenever there is a live event or crop, I often turn to sketches so that I can make some quick creations without having to plan or think too much.  I decided to create a couple of sketches from my recent JBS Mercantile layouts to share with you.

Lab Exercise 10This sketch is based on the layout which is featured in my challenge. Each of the design team member will be posting a challenge for you. Mine centers around fussy cutting. You can fussy cut a detailed design such as flowers or a simple shape such as hexagons.

CSTunnelVisionIf you would like to keep things simple, I invite you to lift my design using the papers and supplies from your March kits. I fussy cut some flowers and some hexagons from two different sheets of patterned paper. The block on the bottom is the kit cut over a piece of green cardstock.

Lab Exercise 11I have been crazy about adding burst designs lately. It’s a wonderful and budget friendly way to stretch your paper or even a transparency.

CSShineI cut apart and then stitched down one of the transparencies from the March kits.I really love the way the red makes those white transparencies pop.
