A few days into April and I am already falling behind. Or am I? Joining a challenge often means there are rules. Sometimes there is flexibility and the Artfully Wild Blog Along Challenge certainly offers that. At least in my eyes. Each day during the month of April, bloggers from around the globe will post something to their blog. My goal was to start on April 1st along with everyone else. As usual, scheduling( homeschool and housework) and other issues got in the way.

It would seem that, every time I decided to write a post or meet a deadline, there is a technical issue or some type of back end website housekeeping that can not be ignored. This time, there was an update which led to a plug in conflict. In a sort of ” if you give a mouse a cookie’ kind of way, I ended up with a fatal website error. You might have even noticed it, should you have tried stopping by MSE recently. Regardless, it was a major issue which required immediate attention.

I could have been angry. I was definitely frustrated. After a few quick web searches, I had figured out a solution. I am also proud to say that I initiated it without a hitch. Problem solved. Fatal Error resolved and MSE was back online. No need to contact the help desk which ensured that I was feeling pretty chuffed. I am tech savvy enough to know a few things but not quite savvy enough to feel confident when it comes to coding.

So where does that leave the challenge and the point I was trying to make? You have to be flexible and take the option to do so when you can. Sometimes you make your own rules. Technically, this challenge calls for everyone to post for each day of April but in reality, the main person I am accountable to is myself. While I could post multiple times a day to catch up, an easier, less stressful solution for me would be to complete the same number of posts as there are days in April. Hence the title for this post. I might yet decide to post more than once per day. I have missed blogging quite a bit and I have so many projects to share. At the same time, I am all for whatever keeps my stress levels lower. I am prioritizing what I need to right now ( IE, my son’s upcoming high school graduation and his early college entry). We shall see what happens. Meanwhile, here’s to solving  problems with a little bit of research and getting this blog back on track.
