After 6 prompts worth of challenging myself and reaching slightly outside my comfort zone, Prompt 7 of the Stencilfied Journal Project felt like a breeze. We were asked to rip out a page from our art journal, tear it up and glue it onto another page. My journal is a little too thick as it is, so losing a page didn’t seem like a bad idea. I also realized that I might end up with a few extra page pieces to collage onto a future project. Prompt 7 wasn’t just a creative challenge. It was also a way for me to work on multiple pages at once!
I didn’t do a whole lot of planning which page would be torn out. It was just a matter of finding a blank page( or two) to prep. Ripping or cutting out pieces of my art journal just feels like part of the creative process now. I earmarked a few pages which will be considered for removal should a prompt ( or myself) choose to remove them in the future. I also started considering which pages I absolutely did not want to remove. This lead me to choose the page opposite of my work for prompt 6.

I hope you are feeling as comfortable as I am about removing pages from your journal. If not, don’t worry. Comfort with the process comes from working through the prompt. So go grab your art journal and get to work! Leave a link to your project in the comments below.
