I’ve been a Freckled Fawn fan for a long time now. Their products cover the gamut from wood veneer to washi tape. I love how easy it is to mix their products in with my other supplies and kits. When they announced the addition of the OH Deer Me kits, I was very excited. I decided to review the kit after receiving multiple requests from friends regarding it’s content.

The kit comes packed inside a lovely blue tin. Many of the smaller items came packed in little vellum bags. I removed them so that you can see them better. Despite rifling through the tin multiple times, I found that I could easily add everything right back inside when I was done working.

The majority of the items included are of a relatively neutral theme. The exception being the telephone flair and the envelope washi tape and brads. The stamp set is cute and could work for a stamper or scrapbooker. I plan to use it with Project Life. The geotags are very trendy right now as are the enamel dots. Those should be used up fairly soon. The items included worked well together but would also be easy to mix in with other supplies. I created a layout using the September Freckled Fawn kit mixed with my September JBS Mercantile kits.

SlyKittycloseupCSThe products included are all the same high quality items that you would find sold by Freckled Fawn. You can buy extras if you really like a particular item at a discount if you are a subscriber. The flair badges( or metal icons) are flatter than most metal badges which makes it easy to add dimension without bulk. I do wish they had a fuller flat back though. They are more like a thin lid then a full badge. I was able to adhere them by adding a thin layer of glossy accents around the  lid like edge.

Overall, you receive a decent amount of product for the price. The metal tin is a nice bonus. For now, it will house the current Freckled Fawn kit. Once the items become low, I plan to store themed kits of my own inside.

Pros

Lots of great products for the price

Comes with a storage tin

Products are mostly neutral and mix well with other supplies

Some trendy products included

Option to buy additional items if you need them

provides a monthly budgeted cost for embellishments

Cons

Flair badges( metal icons) are more like flat coins.

The deciding factor for anyone is whether or not the few theme specific items would work for them. Overall, I believe the kit is well worth the cost. It’s an easy way to budget for a variety of fun and trendy embellishments each month.
